    Great ideas. I read the article about beans and I agree. It's environmentally friendly to make your own and much healthier. Cans are full of salt and now they are saying they are lined with BPA! Better to cook them yourself! thansk for great inspirations!

        This is a great tip. I make some type of legume once a week for my wife and I. Usually Monday is bean day around our house. I have always soaked dried beans overnight but never would have thought of freezing them after soaking for use later. A great idea! I usually make two pounds and freeze the final product as they do store well in the freezer. Like you I don't like all the salt and chemicals in canned beans. Plus dried are so much cheapier than canned. Thanks for sharing!
