Bread and Butter Refrigerator Pickles Recipe
Ingredients
- 12 Kirby pickles, washed
- 3 C white vinegar
- 3 C sugar
- 2 T mustard seed
- 2 tsp, celery seed
- 1 tsp. turmeric
- 2-3 T salt
- pinch clove powder
Directions
- Prepare containers - plastic works fine, as well as Mason jars.
- Slice pickles 1/2 inch thin and place them in containers.
- Combo all other ingredients and pour over cucumbers to the top, taking care to equally distribute seasonings.
- Securely close tops of containers and refrigerate one week before opening.
