Adding a few new veggies and seasonings, and subbing an oil-based dressing, made it lighter and brighter. The recipe makes enough for a crowd or potluck, so cut down by one third or two thirds if needed. |

Hala Kahiki Chili - Pineapple ChiliHala Kahiki means Pineapple, this is a tropical pineapple chili. It's a nice change from regular chili. It sweet and tangy. My son still eats it with tortilla chips but King's Hawaiian sweet rolls are nice with this recipe. |

Cous Cous SaladI love Cous-Cous and this salad is a nice change from cous- cous as a side dish. Its great cold or room temp. I used to make it with a white wine vinaigrette, but it doesn't need it. I have also modified it several times by adding: diced bacon, diced celery and diced sweet pickles. Both ways, it is delicious. |
