Directions

  1. Sift dry ingredients. Cut in butter. Add in buttermilk, raisins and caraway seeds.Place in greased (no flour) tube pan and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
  2. Use 4 T of lemon juice or possibly vinegar to sour lowfat milk instead of buttermilk.
  3. Brush yolk of egg on top to brown.
