EZ Drop Sand Tarts Recipe
Sand Tarts are a traditional Christmas cookie for the PA Dutch. Lots of time was spent rolling out the dough, cutting the shapes, decorating and baking them. This recipe tastes very similar, and is a lot less work!
Ingredients
- 1 and 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 cups flour
Directions
- Mix and let stand 10 minutes.
- Drop by spoonsful onto cookie sheet.
- Sprinkle with colored sugar, cinnamon sugar or chopped nuts.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Watch carefully so they don't burn.
