Classic Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Classic Oatmeal Raisin Cookies by Frosted Flaker

I’ve tried many recipes of oatmeal raisin cookies but settled on this as the best one yet. It’s from Joy of Cooking (1997). The cookies are nubby-textured, and somewhat soft, with a mild brown sugar and oats flavor.

Chewy, slightly soft texture with a hint of caramel pecan, these attractive cookies make a nice snack for company with coffee, tea or milk. Sometimes we bakers just have to break out of the oatmeal-raisin cookie rut, and these certainly do!

Molasses Cookies

Molasses Cookies by Glenn

This version is soft, chewy and more cake-like than what you will typically see. The egg wash topping is a truly lost art. For a lot of people this cookie will immediately transport you…

Mom's No Bake Cookies

Mom's No Bake Cookies by Syi

My mom used to make these all the time when my sister and I were young. She used to help her mother make them for the family when she was a kid. She made the regular version as well as a version with the addition of peanut butter. They have become my go-to sweet tooth cure as they are so easy and quick to make. I recently made a…
