Directions

  1. Preheat the grill to high. Give it enough time to heat up all the way; that will ensure you get a nice sear on the burgers. Once the grill has preheated, lightly oil the grate.
  2. Shred the potato into a bowl using a cheese grater. Then combine it with the ground beef, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Crack two eggs into another bowl and stir until the whites and yolks combine. Pour this into bowl with the other ingredients, and then add Worcestershire sauce and bread crumbs. Mix the ingredients thoroughly.
  4. Now mold 8-10 equal size patties. I recommend making forming meatballs first, and then flattening them into burgers.
  5. Lay the burgers on the grill and let them cook for 4-5 minutes per side, until they reach 160°F. Be sure to keep the lid of the grill open; this will prevent the top side of the patty from cooking until the burger is flipped over.
  6. One to two minutes before the burgers are done, put a slice of cheese on top of each. You can also throw the buns face down onto the grill to get them nice and toasty.

This recipe is fabulous! Everyone liked it. I have been trying to eat less meat but I still enjoy a burger every so often. This burger will be my choice.
    I've cooked/tasted this recipe!
