  • 2 (3/4 inch thick) pork chops
  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • 1/3 c. uncooked reg. rice
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 1/2 c. minced apple
  • 1 tbsp. butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon grnd cinnamon
  • 1 sm. apple, sliced

Directions

  1. Brown chops in warm oil, remove and drain on paper towels. Add in onion and rice to drippings in skillet. Saute/fry till onion is tender and rice golden, stirring constantly.
  2. Place bouillon cube in warm water to dissolve. Add in to mix in pan and bring to a boil. Stir in minced apple. Pour into 10 x 6 x 2 inch glass baking dish. Arrange chops on top. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 25 to 30 min.
  3. Combine butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. Brush apple slices with sugar mix; arrange around chops. Bake uncovered an additional 20 min or possibly till rice and apples are tender.
