Melt-in-the mouth cookie treat Recipe
Excellent to use in your cookie press, very tasty!
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda ( baking soda)
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups brown sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 3 cups of flour
- 1/2 cup peanutbutter
- 125g butter/ margarine( 1/2 lb)
Directions
- Cream butter, sugar and eggs
- Add peanut butter, mix
- Dissolve baking soda in the milk, add and mix
- Allow to stand for 30 minutes
- Form sausages that will fit in the tube of the cookie press
- Press out the cookies on an absolutely clean un greased baking sheet
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the cookie pattern
- Allow to cool for 3 minutes then quickly remove and transfer to a cooling rack
- If they stick to the baking sheet, pop into the oven for 1 minute
- When cooled, store in a suitable container
