Avgolemono (Greek Chicken-Egg Soup) by sfTartness varies according to amount and the type of lemon you use. I use Meyer, which isn't as tart as regular grocery store lemons. We usually eat the dark meat of rotisserie chicken in sandwiches, so this is one way I use the white meat. Save the carcass to make chicken stock in your crockpot. |

Have fun and be surprised, like I was, that this came out tasting… |

Moroccan Split Pea Soup by John SpottiswoodThis is a delicious and beautiful recipe I adapted from one in Paula Wolfert's beautiful book "the food of morocco". The split pea soup has wonderful Moroccan flavors, and it gets a beautiful touch when you drizzle homemade pepper oil on top. Soup Du Jour by PhredWe came up with this soup at the end of the garden season. We had an abundance of Banana Peppers and decided to start with them as a base and build a soup from there. It ended up getting alot of request for a second batch to be made when we served it to our friends, so......here's what we came up with. |

Sugar Pumpkin Curry Cream Soup by Amos MillerWe grow sugar pumpkins and after the harvest, I always break them down and puree them and pop them into the freezer for a long Winter's use. In addition to pies (of course), tarts, cookies, breads, custard and sauce - I love sugar pumpkin soup. As you can imagine, this member of the squash family is somewhat sweeter, has fewer seeds… |

Moroccan Hareera (Harira) by Amos MillerI have read and respect the many recipes for this famous soup that have been posted on CookEatShare. However, I have not found a true recipe, as I experienced the dish, so I thought I should add the one I enjoyed several times a week, year 'round for nearly a decade. Commonly, and mistakenly, thought of as only a soup consumed to… |
