Directions

  1. Heat oil- saute onions to light brown and soft
  2. Add rice and lentils and seasonings- cook for 2-3 minutes
  3. Add water and stock- cover and simmer, 45 minutes or until rice and lentils are cooked to tender
  4. Add carrots - bring to temperature and adjust seasonings
  5. Granish with toasted almonds and parsley to server
