Directions

  1. Cut roast in 2-inch cubes. Combine first 6 ingredients and sprinkle over beef cubes. Brown meat in bacon fat. Add in next 4 ingredients plus 1/2 c. water. Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer about 2 hrs. Add in carrots and simmer 30 min longer or possibly till carrots are tender. Serve over rice. Yield: 4-5 servings.
