Moroccan Split Pea Soup by John SpottiswoodThis is a delicious and beautiful recipe I adapted from one in Paula Wolfert's beautiful book "the food of morocco". The split pea soup has wonderful Moroccan flavors, and it gets a beautiful touch when you drizzle homemade pepper oil on top. This is a super easy trick which adds a nice kick to the already flavorful soup. It's… |

My Favorite Everyday Chili by Denise SherinThere's nothing like a hearty warm bowl of chili. My son loves chili and loves scooping it with tortilla chips. Almost A Borscht Soup by GlennI wanted a hearty soup for lunch and had a left-over half head of boiled cabbage. What else could I do but go wild adding borschtish ingredients until I almost lost track. Bottom line, if you don't have an ingredient just leave it out or substitute something else. Have fun and be surprised, like I was, that this came out tasting… |

Spicy Lentil & Bean Soup by The Kitchen Magpie - Karlynn JohnstonI have been looking for more ways to serve beans and lentils that aren’t boring, since my non-meat eating son needs protein in his meals. Vegan Cream of Spinach Soup by The Blender GirlThe best thing about this soup? It takes less than half an hour from chopping board to table; and is dead easy. Unlike starchy soups that need about 30-40 minutes to cook through, this soup only needs about 20 minutes. Just chop up your ingredients, bring to the boil, simmer, blend and serve. I can’t seem to go past using whole… |
