VODKA AND SPICY TOMATO-CREAM SAUCE WITH PENNE, KING CRAB LEGS AND SHRIMPS

VODKA AND SPICY TOMATO-CREAM SAUCE WITH PENNE, KING CRAB LEGS AND SHRIMPS by Cecelia Heer

Back in 1993, Patricia Wells' recipe for Penne with Vodka and Spicy Tomato-Cream Sauce (Penne alla Bettola) from her cookbook TRATTORIA was published in The New York Times. Although it has been more than 20 years, I still have the tattered and stained…

Butter Chicken - Chicken Makhani

Butter Chicken - Chicken Makhani by John Spottiswood

My kids love Chicken Makhani (Butter Chicken) and Chicken Tikka Masala whenever we go to an Indian buffet. So we tried replicating it at home. It's not a difficult dish to make once you have all the ingredients, and the results are delicious! It also gains flavor in your refrigerator over the next few days, so it's great for…

Asian-Style Grilled Black Bass

Asian-Style Grilled Black Bass by John Spottiswood

This fish is simply delicious. The flesh is like butter and the flavor is from heaven. I know that sounds extreme, but it's true. I was in Costco and the fresh fish counter had whole black bass. I'd never made it before, but the woman behind the counter said it is similar to yellowtail (hamachi) which is one of my favorites, so I…

Salmon and Farro Salad

Salmon and Farro Salad by Michele Glauser

I first had this recipe at Print Works Bistro in Greensboro, and loved it. I was lucky enough for the chef to give me the recipe! In the fall we make it with sweet potatoes. Cook the sweet potatoes and slice , add instead of the vegetables.

Cajun Chicken Linguine Alfredo

Cajun Chicken Linguine Alfredo by Skinny Kitchen with Nancy Fox

A bit spicy, a bit creamy, this decadent pasta brings a classic Chicken Alfredo to a whole new level. It’s bursting with flavor and spice thanks to the Cajun seasonings. If this doesn’t wake up your taste buds, nothing will! Don’t worry though, if you don’t like your food too spicy, just add less seasoning and it’ll still taste…

Easy Cheesy Beef Pasta Casserole

Easy Cheesy Beef Pasta Casserole by myra byanka

Spaghetti sauce mixed with cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream, ground beef, and pasta. Works with ground Italian sausage, or turkey, too. Why not just prepare Hamburger Helper? Because this recipe is tastier, and you can go organic with it.

Healthy Fish Tacos

Healthy Fish Tacos by Marci Clark

I loved fish tacos, but didn't really like the fat in deep frying or the mess it makes in the house. This recipe is a similar take on baked unfried chicken. This recipe actually makes the fish crispier than frying and it holds up well with the delish dill sauce!

Boston Pizza's Copy Cat Pizza Burger

Boston Pizza's Copy Cat Pizza Burger by Monocot

A Much better, Tastier version then the restaurant. In my pictures you can't see the tomato sauce but it's there. Instead of making your own burger, You can use bought burgers. even tofu or veggie burgers. Just precook them first and use warm. The 15 minutes finishing time won't heat the burger fully if its cold.

Oven Baked Chicken Parmesan

Oven Baked Chicken Parmesan by myra byanka

Easy to prepare, lower calorie version of this dish. For maximum tenderness, I recommend brining the breasts in 2 qts. water and 1/2 C table salt for 1 to 1 1/2 hours and rinsing them in cold water for several minutes. Or, take a kitchen mallet or rolling pin and put the whammy on 'em.
