Apple Tart - The Donna Hay way by Padma Priya ManikamI am an ardent follower of Nigella Lawson's recipes, but recently I enjoy trying out recipes from Ausie chef Donna Hay. She teaches the "cheats" way of producing mouth watering delicacies and one being apple tart that is so easy to make that you will have your guests wanting more. |

Coconut Puttu by Padma Priya ManikamThis is simple light breakfast or tea-break steamed snack made out of rice flour that is readily available in the supermarket. It is best mixed with grated coconut and sugar. If wish to eat it with curry, then exclude the sugar. May also include small cut pieces of ripe banana when steaming for a variant in taste. |

My version of Nigella's Chocohotpot by Padma Priya ManikamThis is a dessert made by British chef Nigella and I have made it several times varrying a little. The original recipe calls for 4 ramikens but I bake mine in a rectangle oven-proof dish. I also use Van Houten's cooking chocolate. Below is the recipe adapted by me and for the original recipe kindly refer to the web link. |
