Ingredients

  • 2 cans (1 lb.) tomatoes
  • 2 cans (8 ounce.) tomato sauce
  • 2 cans tomato paste
  • 2 buds garlic, minced
  • 1 c. onion, minced
  • 1 tbsp. oregano
  • 1 tbsp. parley flakes
  • 1 to 1 1/2 lbs. grnd meat
  • 1 can (8 ounce.) sliced mushrooms
  • 1 to 2 tbsp. sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 c. extra virgin olive oil or possibly veg. oil (extra virgin olive oil gives more Italian flavor)

Directions

  1. Saute/fry onions and garlic in oil, add in grnd beef and cook till meat is brown. Add in all tomatoes, spices and mushrooms and simmer for 1 hour or possibly more.
  2. For economy, double all but the meat and freeze part for later use.
