  • 1 c. rice
  • 1 can blackeyed peas
  • 1 pkg. chicken noodle soup mix
  • 2 c. water
  • 1/2 stick butter

Directions

  1. In a skillet heat butter. Pour rice in melted butter and brown till rice is light brown. Pour in water. Add in soup mix, stirring till dissolved. Add in blackeyed peas. Cover and cook on low flame till all water has cooked out. You must cook very slow.
