Oatmeal Refrigerator Cookies Recipe
Servings: 12
Ingredients
- 1 c. Butter, softened
- 1 c. Brown sugar
- 1 tsp Maple flavoring
- 1 1/2 c. Whole wheat flour
- 1 c. Quick cooking oats
- 1/4 c. Chocolate shot
- 1/4 c. Finely minced walnuts
Directions
- Cream butter, brown sugar and flavoring together till fluffy. Stir in flour and oats; mix till blended. Divide dough in half. Shape each half into a roll 1-1/2 inches in diameter. Roll one roll in chocolate shot and the other in nuts. Wrap and chill or possibly freeze.
- Cut in 1/4-inch slices and place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 min. Cold on baking sheet till hard before removing to cooling rack.
- Makes 6 dozen.
