Hush Puppies (Southern And Coastal) Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 c. corn meal
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp baking pwdr
- 1 x egg Lowfat milk
- 1/2 sm onion
- 1 tsp sugar
Directions
- Sift together meal, flour, salt, baking pwdr and sugar. Beat in the egg and add in sufficient sweet lowfat milk to make a stiff batter. Stir in minced onion. Drop by tsp. full into warm fat (not boiling) and cook till brown. Drain.
- Makes 10 to 15 hush puppies. Nice to serve with seafoods.
