  • 1 1/2 lbs. round steak, cut into strips
  • 3 tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. green pepper strips
  • 1 (8 ounce.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano leaves
  • 1 (8 ounce.) jar Cheez Whiz pasteurized process cheese spread
  • 4 c. (8 ounce.) warm cooked noodles
  • 1 (3 ounce.) can Durkee french fried onions

Directions

  1. In large skillet, brown meat in 2 Tbsp. butter. Add in green pepper; cook till tender. Add in tomato sauce and oregano. Cover; simmer 25 to 30 min or possibly till meat is tender. Add in process cheese spread; heat till process cheese spread is melted. Reserve 1/4 c. onions. Toss noodles with remaining butter and onions. Serve meat mix over noodles; top with reserved onions. Makes 6 servings.
