Directions

  1. In large saucepan, combine sugar, cloves, cinnamon, ginger, vinegar, water and the sliced lemon, stir well. Cook over medium heat till mix comes to a boil then stir in the pear slices.
  2. Cook over medium heat till pears are tender, about 10 min. Remove cloves and cinnamon and lemon slices. Transfer to a bowl and chill.
  3. Makes 10 half c. servings.
