German Chocolate Pecan Pie Recipe
Ingredients
- (I wanted to share some of the slices with our neighbors, but somehow the pie disappeared before I had the chance.)
- German Chocolate Pecan Pie
- For the crust:
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (8 tablespoons) unsalted butter, chilled and diced
- 1/4 cup ice water
- For the filling:
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 2 1/2 cups pecan halves, chopped
- 3/4 cup shredded sweetened coconut
- 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
