Directions

  1. Separate yolks and beat till smooth. Blend in sugar, few ounces of the 1/2 and 1/2 then rum/brandy/bourbon followed by whipping cream and remainder of half and half. Add in ingredients slowly and beat well to make smooth.
  2. In a separate container, whip egg whites till stiff then mix into batch. Serve cool, sprinkled with nutmeg.
  3. Recommended alcohol mix: 1/3 qt each of Mount Gay Rum, any good straight bourbon, and Captain Applejack Apple Brandy (any brandy may be used, but avoid cheap flavored grain alcohol types. Applejack is true apple brandy.
  4. Keeps under refrigeration for several weeks.
