Directions

  1. Place raisins in large mixing bowl. Cut prunes and apricots into fourths. Add in to raisins along with minced dates, and glace fruit. Pour 1/2 c. brandy over fruit, tossing to mix. Cover and let stand at room temperature overnight.
  2. Cream butter till light and fluffy. Add in sugar gradually, beating well. Add in Large eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each addition. Combine flour, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg and allspice. Add in to butter mix alternately with bananas. Stir in fruit along with nuts. Turn into 3 greased loaf pans.
  3. Bake at 250 degrees for 2 1/2 to 3 hrs. Cold 10 min in pans. Turn onto rack. Pour remaining 1/2 c. brandy over tops of cake. Wrap tightly to store.
