Really Tasty Turkey and Okra burger by ManiA surprisely very tasty turkey burger! The okra and jalapeno cheese slice adds a lot of moisture and flavor to what can be a pretty bland meat. I made the first burgers without egg, but felt it would hold together better with one or perhaps if cheese were made part of the burger mix. I will be trying that next time. |

Jammin' Jambalaya by SmokinhotchefThis is my take on jambalaya encompassing the essence of the dish without a lot of fuss. These flavors mimic the flavors that have been key to jambalaya since it's origin around the early 1800's. I omitted the traditional okra. Not a big fan of okra!! Nonwithall, this recipe is super simple, simply delicious. Great as a main course… |

Hardwood Pellet-Fired Stoven Rotisserie Turkey Brine by Stoven JohnThe best way to cook a smoked turkey is utilizing its' own juices to baste itself. What a better way than to use a rotisserie and a hardwood pellet-fired grill or Stoven pellet-fired burner conversion for a kettle style grill to accomplish this. Cooking time is ten minutes per pound instead of fifteen minutes per pound in a standard… |

Comfort Food at it’s Best…Barbecue Turkey Meatloaf by Skinny Kitchen with Nancy FoxMeatloaf is the quintessential American meal. It’s nostalgic, hearty and just plain delicious. Most families have their special way to prepare it. I’m using a few flavorful and healthy twists. The first is to use barbecue sauce instead of the usual ketchup. It’s such a small change but adding the barbecue sauce makes it taste… |

Savory Meatloaf with Zucchini by Salad FoodieIn planning a birthday dinner for a mutual friend, a fellow-foodie and I devised this juicy meatloaf with prominent herb flavors. We like the layers of flavor 3 different… |

Sausages on a bed of Lentils by John SpottiswoodThese spicy sausages are really phenomenal on top of these flavorful lentils. The original recipe recommends cooking and serving the sausage inside of savoy cabbage leaves. We forgot to bring the savoy cabbage, so we cooked the sausage directly on a skillet and served bare on top of the lentils. It was still remarkably delicious,… |

Southwestern Turkey Burger by Curt DespresThis weekend, my wife and I got creative. We bought some ground turkey and decided that we would each make up our own recipe. My wife likes the more subtle flavors. When I say that, I don’t mean boring, I mean she just tends to put flavors together in a more subtle way, where I tend to get a little carried away. So let’s take a… |
