Killer Shrimp by John SpottiswoodNancy and I loved eating at this hole in the wall restaurant in Marina Del Ray called Killer Shrimp. It was in a strip mall and didn't have much character, but their "killer" shrimp drew a loyal crowd. I recently heard that it had closed, so I've tried to recreate it with help from a few others who have tried. I think what most the… |

Shrimp Creole by John SpottiswoodThis isn't all that fancy or exotic, but it's a wonderfully rich and fully flavored. If you want greater authenticity, you can substitute butter where I have used olive oil. I love butter, but try to control it for health reasons. It's delicious as I have made it, so no need to add the extra butter in my opinion. |

One Dish Seafood Stew by Adam JanowskiI’ve had Cioppino, which is the Italian version, and Bouillabaisse, which is the French version and below you will find my version of a seafood stew. I can’t drink alcohol so you will not find any white wine in mine, though you will find it in most Italian and French versions. It is up to you, but I think my recipe works really well… |

Crawfish Etouffee by GenetBeing from New Orleans, my husband and I love Crawfish Etouffee. It's one of those "classics" that everyone down here has learned how to cook by watching mom or grandma. That's me. I was hanging out in my grandmother's kitchen for as long as I can remember. Crawfish Etouffee is a great opportunity for anyone to use frozen… |

Crawfish Etouffee by GenetIn New Orleans, frozen crawfish tails are a heavily relied upon convenience food. Many folks outside of Louisiana are unaware of this great product which is now available in most supermarkets across the country. Shrimp Etouffee by BearNakedBakerI love Cajun food and making "black" roux is a lot of fun and a bit of a challenge. I took Cajun/Creole cooking lessons in my 20's and have become a big fan of its dishes. It does require time to cook this meal, but it's well worth it. It looks great if you mound your rice in a coffee cup and un-mold it on center of plate and serve… |

Cilantro Shrimp by Nancy MiyasakiThis is a simple and absolutely delicious stir-fry shrimp dish. I've been looking for something easy and tasty like this. I have a new staple! I used a red chile sauce that we had on hand instead of the sambal oelek, and I added it selectively after stir frying to my husbands and my plates, but not to the kids plates. It was… |

Italian Shrimp Scampi for Nu-wave or Flavorwave oven by Jennifer TestaloneThis is an easy recipe that you can prepare in advance and bake right before dinner. It works well in a Nuwave, and it's truly delicious, if not exactly low fat. Make sure to give it a squeeze of fresh lemon just before serving! |
