Ken's Lemon Rub for Lamb Spareribs by Ken PodgorsekThis lemon rub is great on lamb and chicken. The mint and lemon are a classic combination. Slow roasted in the oven, they gave the meat a slight citrus flavor. The rub was used to season pasture raised lamb spareribs Incredible flavor and a great crust on the ribs. We also used the rub on a whole chicken with great results. |

Overnight Crockpot Oatmeal with Apples and Raisins by valerie brunoI made this for our Saturday morning coffe group. They enjoyed it very much. I omitted the apples and raisins in cooking. I served small dishes of blueberries, strawberries and plumped raisins on the side. They could add what they liked. |

The beans are cooked in chicken broth for additional flavor. I serve it as a broth soup (think chicken noodle), but if you prefer a thicker soup you can mash some of the beans and add them with the whole beans to the soup. Chard, kale or other… |

No Touch Turnips Paula Wolferts' Way by kathy goriThis seems to be the week of no touch, no stir, nearly hands off cooking. Easter became a menu of simple, down home Italian dishes that I felt I just had to share even if they're off topic from my usual Indian fare. How does someone get to be 91 years old without eating a turnip....ever? To what is that attributed? The fact that… |
