Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb Grnd beef
  • 1/4 c. Water
  • 1/4 c. Minced onion
  • 1 x Clove garlic, chopped (I use more)
  • 1 can (8-ounce) seasoned tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Each chili pwdr, monosodium glutamate (I do not use) and salt

Directions

  1. I use the Coney Islands recipe from my copy of the Better Homes and Gardens
  2. Brown grnd beef slowly but thoroughly, breaking with a fork till fine.
  3. Add in remaining ingredients; simmer uncovered 10 min.
  4. Makes sauce for12 Coneys.
