Directions

  1. Mix baking mix, sugar, margarine and 1/4 teaspoon almond extract. Press in ungreased rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches.
  2. Bake till light brown, 12 to 15 min.
  3. Mix walnuts, 1/2 teaspoon almond extract, lowfat milk and coconut. Spread over baked layer.
  4. Bake till golden, about 20 min.
  5. Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips proportionately over top. Cover with cookie sheet and let stand till chips are melted, 4 to 5 min; spread carefully.
  6. Cold; cut into about 1 1/2" squares.
  7. Makes 48 squares.
