Coca Cola Cake And Frosting Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 3 T cocoa
- 1 c. coca cola
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. miniature marshmallows
- 1/2 c. butter
- 3 T cocoa
- 6 T coca cola
- 1 pound confectioners' sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 c. black walnuts, minced
Directions
- Mix sugar and flour, set aside. Put together Crisco, butter, cocoa and coca cola. Bring to boil. Add in mix to sugar and flour. Mix buttermilk, large eggs, baking soda and vanilla. Add in marshmallows. Fold into sugar and flour mix. Pour into greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 min. Ice warm cake with frosting.
- Boil butter, cocoa and coca cola. Add in remaining ingredients. Cool slightly and spread on cake while cake is still warm. Origin: from the Saxton Family Cookbook, Brooksville Florida.
