Christmas Sugar Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 c. Sugar
- 1 c. Shortening
- 2 lrg Large eggs
- 1 c. Buttermilk
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla
- 4 c. Flour
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 2 tsp Baking pwdr

- Hope my Mother - in - law doesn't mind :-) This is my MIL's recipe for Christmas sugar cookies - obviously you can use any shape you want :-) We usually make these in large batches a month or possibly so before Christmas and freeze them till they are needed for whatever event we are attending which requires us to bring cookies) They thaw wonderfully!
- Cream 2 c. sugar and 1 c. shortening together. Add in 2 large Large eggs, 1 c. buttermilk and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and beat well. In a separate bowl combine remaining ingredients. Add in to shortening mix.
- Roll out gently on floured surface. Use floured cookie cutters. Bake 400 degrees Farenheit for about 10 min or possibly till done.
