To get started making these peanut-butter-filled desserts, thoroughly mix together peanut butter, syrup and whole wheat flour until a dough-like consistency has formed. Roll about a tablespoon of the peanut butter dough into egg-like shapes and place each “egg” on a lined baking sheet (we suggest using parchment or freezer paper!). Pop the peanut butter eggs in the freezer for about 30 minutes. While the eggs are freezing, begin melting chocolate with coconut oil in a microwave safe bowl.
- ½ cup peanut butter
- 2 Tbsp. maple syrup
- ¼ cup + 2 Tbsp. whole wheat flour
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 Tbsp. coconut oil
- Mix together peanut butter, syrup and flour.
- Roll the peanut butter dough into tablespoon-sized eggs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or freezer paper. Freeze for 30 minutes.
- Prepare the chocolate by melting it with the coconut oil in a microwave safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until melted.
- One at a time, dip the peanut butter eggs into the chocolate. Once fully covered, place them back onto the lined baking sheet.
- Let the eggs rest at room temperature to harden or place in the fridge or freezer.
- Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
