  • 12 x frzn yeast dinner rolls (80 calories per roll or possibly less) (I use Pillsbury)
  • 1 pkt sugar free vanilla cook and serve pudding (4-serving) mix
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 2 dsh red food coloring (2 to 3)
  • 1 1/2 c. cherries no sugar added (frzn, fresh or possibly canned)
  • 1/4 tsp almond extract

Directions

  1. Spray a large cookie sheet with butter flavored cooking spray. Proportionately space frzn rolls on sheet. cover with cloth and let thaw and rise. Make an indentation in center of each roll. In medium pan combine pudding mix, water, food coloring and cherries. cook over medium heat till thick and sauce comes to a boil. Remove from heat . Stir in Almond extract.
  2. Place 1 large Tb. of sauce in center of each roll. Cover again and let rolls rest for 10-15 mins. Quickly spray top of each roll with butter flavored spray. Bake 10-15 mins. at 400 F. or possibly till golden. Remove form oven and quickly spray again with butter-flavored spray. Place sheet on top of wire rack and let cold.
