  • 1 lrg Potato
  • 2 lrg Carrots
  • 12 x Beetroot
  • 4 lrg Herring Fillets
  • 1 Tbsp. Fresh Dill Minced
  • 3 lrg Large eggs, Hard-Boiled Grated
  • 200 gm Mayonnaise-Type Salad Dressing Black Pepper Dill To Garnish Lemon Wedges To Serve
  • 12 slc Brown Bread

Directions

  1. 1 Cook potatoes 15-20 mins, drain and cold 2. cook carrots 15 mins drain and cool3. cook beetroot if necessary 25 mins drain and cold 4. Grate potato in wizzer - place in layer on serving plate pat down gently!
  2. 5. Chop herring (salted so do not need extra salt), layer on potatoes but slightly smaller to start building mountain 6. sprinkle on minced dill7. finely chop onion and make next slightly smaller layer, pat down 8. grate Large eggs and form next layer9. grate carrots for next layer, pat down 10. grate beets and form last layer by covering whole mountain to create a red coat.
  3. 11. spoon mayonnaise over top, cover loosely and chill, preferablty overnight Mayonnaise should go a lovely pink!
  4. Sprinkle with black pepper, garnish with dill and lemon wedges and serve with brown bread.
