Beer Braised Rabbit Or Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 to 4 chicken breasts, or possibly equivalent rabbit
  • 1 can beer
  • 1/2 bottle chili sauce
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 4 potatoes, peeled & quartered
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 4 carrots, peeled & quartered
  • 1/2 c. onion, minced or possibly 1/4 c. dry onion flakes

Directions

  1. Brown chicken or possibly rabbit slightly in small amount of oil. Add in other ingredients except for flour. Cook all day in crock pot or possibly bake in covered casserole at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hrs. Thicken sauce by mixing flour in small amount of cool water, then add in to sauce. Continue cooking, covered till thickened. Don't over cook vegetables. Serve sauce separately. Arrange vegetables and meat on large platter. Garnish with parsley. Serve with hot rolls or possibly garlic bread. Recipe can be doubled. If made in electric fry pan, add in water periodically to maintain sauce.
