Spaghetti With Italian Meat Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
- 1/2 c. Chopped onion
- 1/4 c. Salad oil
- 1 lb Grnd beef
- 2 clv garlic, chopped
- 1 sm can Mushrooms
- 1 x (8 oz) can Tomato sauce
- 1 lrg can Tomatoes
- 1/4 tsp Sugar
- 1 dsh Basil
- 1 lb Spaghetti or possibly elbow macaroni
- 4 ounce Grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
- Simmer onion in oil in skillet 5 min. Add in grnd beef and garlic; cook, stirring, till meat is crumbly and browned. Add in mushrooms with liquid, parsley and tomato sauce. Add in tomatoes, salt, pepper and sugar. Cover and simmer 1 hour.
- Makes about 1 qt of sauce. Cook spaghetti and drain. Cover with sauce and sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
