Slow Cooker German Style Pot Roast Recipe

Ingredients

• 3 tsp. kosher salt
• 1 tsp. onion powder
• 1/4 tsp. fresh ground nutmeg
• 1/4 tsp. allspice
• 1 tsp. fresh ground black pepper
• 1 tsp. garlic powder
• 2 to 3 pound Certified Angus Beef® brand chuck roast
• 1 TBS. canola or corn oil
• 1/2 small head of red cabbage, cored and cut into chunks
• 5 - 6 medium carrots, cut into chunks
• 2 sweet onions, sliced
• 1/3 cup beef stock (not broth)
• 1 cup apple cider (or apple juice)
