  • 6 lrg potatoes mash/butter
  • 2 c. Frzn small peas/defrosted
  • 1 Tbsp. Oil
  • 2 Tbsp. Minced garlic
  • 3/4 c. Minced onions
  • 1 Tbsp. Curry pwdr (or possibly to taste)
  • 1 tsp Grnd cumin
  • 1 tsp Grnd coriander
  • 2 lb Grnd lamb Or possibly
  • 1 lb Grnd lamb+1 lb sirloin Or possibly
  • 2 lb Grnd Sirloin
  • 1/3 c. Ketchup
  • 3/4 c. Chicken broth
  • 1 tsp Sugar

Directions

  1. 1. Mash the potatoes with butter and lowfat milk. Season with salt & pepper.
  2. 2. Brown the meat in a large skillet, and put in colander to drain.
  3. 3. Heat the oil in a skillet and add in the onions and garlic. Cook, stirringoccasionally till they are wilted. Add in the curry pwdr, cumin and coriander and cook briefly, stirring.
  4. 4. Add in the meat, salt, pepper, the ketchup, broth and sugar. Cook, stirringoccasionally, about 20 min.
  5. 5. Put mix into a baking dish and top with the defrosted frzn peas, thenthe mashed potato mix. Smooth over the top. Dot with a Tbsp. of butter. Run the mix under the broiler till it is golden.
