A rice recipe that has been with the Filipino tradition all these years, and has continuously enjoyed every occasion.

  1. Wash then soak glutinous/sweet (malagkit) rice in coconut milk with salt, until grains are swollen.
  2. Scoop 1 tablespoon of rice and place on banana leaf. Fold each to make a fine tuck.
  3. Pair each piece and tie securely to make sure it will not break while cooking.
  4. Set suman pieces in a casserole and let it boil for 3 hours or until cooked.
