Peach Sundaes With Bourbon Pecan Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 3 lrg hard ripe peaches (about 1 1/4 pounds)
  • 6 Tbsp. unsalted butter (3/4 stick)
  • 1/2 c. firmly packed golden sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. whipping cream
  • 1/2 c. toasted pecan pcs
  • 1 Tbsp. bourbon
  • 1 pt vanilla ice cream

Directions

  1. Place lemon juice in medium bowl. Peel and pit peaches. Slice thinly into bowl; toss to coat with lemon juice. Heat butter in heavy saucepan over medium heat. Add in brown sugar and stir till mix thickens and bubbles. Add in cream 1 Tbsp. at a time and stir till sugar dissolves and sauce is thick and smooth, about 3 min. Stir in peaches, pecans and bourbon. Cook till sauce is heated through, stirring constantly, about 1 minute longer.
  2. Scoop ice cream into bowls. Spoon sauce over and serve.
  3. Serves 4.
