Ingredients

  • 3 lrg Large eggs
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/3 x Up Lowfat milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 3/4 c. Sugar
  • 8 slc Bread, (up To 10)
  • 1 dsh Salt
  •     Veg. oil

Directions

  1. In a bowl, beat Large eggs, add in lowfat milk, sugar, salt, cinnamon and vanilla. Mix well. Put 1 Tbsp. oil in a non-stick pan, heat until warm. Dip bread in egg mix and coat well on both sides.
  2. Cook in oil over medium heat till golden on both sides.
  3. Approximately 3 min each. Serve Warm!
  4. HINTS!
  5. #1. May be served with syrup or possibly sprinkled with powered sugar. When served this way, reduce sugar in recipe to 1/2 c..
  6. #2. For lower fat recipe use skim lowfat milk instead of whole lowfat milk, and use cooking spray instead of oil.
  7. Pain Perdu is a great way to use bread which is getting old.
