Meatball Sandwiches With Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 to 2 1/2 lbs. hamburger
- 2 T Parmesan cheese
- 1 T minced parsley
- 1 T grated onion
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 6 slices bread
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic pwdr
- 2 lg. cans zesty tomato sauce
- 1 lg. can Italian-style stewed tomatoes
- 1 lg. can water
- 2 teaspoon sugar
- Hero sandwich buns
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic pwdr
Directions
- MEATBALLS: In small bowl, cover bread slices with water. Let stand 2 min. Remove and squeeze out excess water from bread.In large bowl, put together bread with beef and remaining ingredients for meatballs. Place Mix well with hands. Form into large meatballs. Place in microwave on high for 5-7 min. May drain on paper towels. Add in cooked meatballs to sauce and simmer till heated through.
- Place hero buns on cookie sheet and broil till outside of buns are crisp. Remove and slice lengthwise. Place on plates and cover with meatballs and sauce. Sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese. Kids of all ages love this.
