Ingredients

  • 1 pkt lasagna noodles (8 ounce.) uncooked
  • 1 lrg jar spaghetti sauce
  • 2 c. cottage cheese (or possibly 24 ounce. size)
  • 1/2 lb slices or possibly shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 2 lb grnd beef
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 sm onion optional

Directions

  1. Brown hamburger and onion; add in sauce. Layer 1/2 package uncooked lasagna noodles in a 9x13 cake pan. Cover with 1/2 of the meat sauce, 1/2 of the cottage cheese, and 1/2 of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat, using the remaining 1/2 pkgs noodles, sauce, cottage cheese, and the mozzarella cheese. Cover pan with aluminum foil (hint-spray it and it won't stick to the cheese when the cheese is melted.) At this point, the lasagna can be refrigerated and baked the next day, of bake immediately for one hour in a 375 degree oven.
  2. Makes 12 servings. Excellent served with a fresh lettuce salad and garlic bread.
