Lady Bird Johnson's Famous Lemon Cake Recipe

• 3/4 c. Butter or possibly margarine
• 1 1/2 c. Sugar
• 8 x Egg yolks
• 1 1/2 c. Cake flour
• 3 tsp Baking pwdr
• 1/4 tsp Salt
• 3/4 c. Lowfat milk
• 1 tsp Vanilla
• 1 tsp Lemon rind, grated
• 1 tsp Lemon juice Lemon icing
• 2 c. Powdered sugar
• 1/4 c. Margarine, soft
• 1 x Lemon, juice and grated rin
• 2 tsp Heavy cream Pudding Bananas, slice thin
• 3/4 c. Sugar
• 3 x Egg yolks
• 2 1/2 c. Lowfat milk Meringue
• 3 x Egg whites
• 3 Tbsp. Sugar
• 1 tsp Vanilla
