Ingredients

  • 1 pkt (21 1/2 ounce.) Pillsbury Deluxe Fudge brownie mix
  • 1/2 c. Oil
  • 1/2 c. Kahlua or possibly coffee Flavored liqueur
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 1 tsp Shortening
  • 1 ounce Semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1/2 c. Margarine, softened
  • 2 c. Powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 tsp Lowfat milk, (up to 3)
  • 2 Tbsp. Kahlua or possibly coffee flavored liqueur

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 13 x 9-inch pan. In large bowl, combine all brownie ingredients; beat 50 strokes with spoon. Spread in prepared pan. Bake for 30 to 35 min. Don't OVERBAKE. Cold. In small bowl cream butter till fluffy. Add in powdered sugar and vanilla; blend well. In small saucepan, heat 2 Tbsp. Kahlua with instant coffee; gradually add in Kahlua mix and lowfat milk to powdered sugar mix. Continue beating till smooth, creamy and of desired spreading consis- tency. Spread over cooled brownies. In small saucepan over low heat, heat chocolate with shortening, stirring constantly. Drizzle glaze over brownies in vertical pattern; about 1-inch apart. Immediately draw knife in horizontal lines to create a pattern.
  2. Chill till hard.
  3. Makes 48 bars.
