Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. minced walnuts
  • 3 c. quick-cooking oats
  • 2/3 c. minced dry fruits (a combination of apricots, apples, raisins, etc.)
  • 6 tsp butter
  • 1/4 c. honey
  • 1/4 c. light brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 x to 1 teaspoon grnd cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp vanilla

Directions

  1. Combine nuts, oats, and dry fruits in a large bowl. Combine butter, honey, sugar, cinnamon and vanilla in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 minutes. Stir into oat mix, combining well. Press firmly with the back of a spoon into a greased foil-lined 11 x 7" baking pan. Bake at 350 about 15 minutes or possibly till light brown. Cold, then cut into bars.
