Ingredients

  • 1 x Garlic clove
  • 1/4 c. Fresh herb leaves - (packed) (parsley, basil, thyme, oregano, etc.)
  • 1 stk Unsalted butter softened Salt to taste Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste Cayenne pepper to taste
  • 1 x Italian or possibly French bread loaf

Directions

  1. In a food processor combine the garlic, herbs, butter, salt, pepper and cayenne to taste and process till smooth. Alternately, finely chop together the garlic and the herbs and then in a bowl mix together with the butter, salt, pepper and cayenne.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  3. Cut the bread every 1 1/2-inches along the entire length of the loaf. Spread each side of a slice with the butter mix. Wrap loaf in aluminum foil and bake for 15 to 20 min or possibly till heated through. Unwrap bread, bake for 5 min to brown top. Serve bread hot.
  4. This recipe yields 4 servings.
