  • 2 pound beef round steak
  • 1 tbsp. veg. oil
  • 1 onion
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce.) can condensed cream of celery soup
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce.) can condensed cream of broccoli soup
  • 1 teaspoon dry oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry thyme
  • 1 tbsp. garlic pwdr
  • 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 c. red or possibly white wine
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  1. Trim fat from steak. Cut meat into serving size portions. In a skillet brown meat in warm oil. Slice onion and place in bottom of 4 qt crock pot. Place browned meat atop onion. In a bowl combine remaining ingredients; pour over meat. Cook on high heat setting for 5 hrs. Serve over rice with steamed broccoli side dish. Serves 4.
