Crispy Topped Tuna And Pasta Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. Oil
  • 1 x Onion, minced
  • 2 tsp Schwartz Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Schwartz Garlic Granules
  • 2 Tbsp. Tomato puree
  • 1 x 400 gram tin minced tomatoes, (14 ounce)
  • 1 x 198 gram tin sweetcorn, liquid removed (7 ounce)
  • 50 gm Cream cheese, (2 ounce)
  • 2 x 200 g, (7 ounce) tins tuna, liquid removed
  • 175 gm Pasta, cooked and liquid removed (6 ounce)
  • 50 gm Butter, (2 ounce)
  • 100 gm Breadcrumbs, (4 ounce)
  • 3 Tbsp. Schwartz Bacon Bits, up to 4

Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a large saucepan and fry the onion for 2-3 min till soft. Add in the Italian Seasoning and Garlic Granules and fry for a further minute. Add in the tomato puree, tomatoes and sweetcorn and cook gently for 5 min. Stir in the cream cheese, tuna and pasta, heat through. Transfer to a serving dish.
  2. Heat the butter in a frying pan and fry the breadcrumbs and Bacon Bits till crispy. Sprinkle over the tuna mix.
