St. Patrick's Day Beef Stew with GuinnessThis is a great Beef Stew adapted from a recipe by Margaret Johnson. We doubled the recipe, used about half the butter, and added plenty of salt and black pepper. We also cooked it about 5 hours ahead of time and let it sit in the pot for another 3 hours after it was done cooking. It was awesome. |

vegetarian irish cabbage stewI made this on st.pattys day.You could add a lb of ground beef or bacon if you want a meat version. Simple ingredients for back in the days.....or these days when all 4 of my kids are hounding me at the same time,and I need something quick! |
